FORM AFFORDS THE FUNCTION


The main concept is "form affords function." This idea is immediately apparent when looking at the plan. The octagonal shape, according to deep psychology, symbolizes a realm of spirituality, symmetry, similarity, and focus. This concept forms the basis for the idea of this design, based on fundamental patterns of nature, including the golden ratio of Fibonacci geometry and, most importantly, the homogeneity geometry.

homogeneity is essentially a phenomenon or a regular geometric pattern, particularly useful in designing centripetal structures like dome decorations in architecture. Combining this phenomenon with the golden ratio can create a pattern observed in nature, a geometry that always appears proportionate and pleasing to the observer. To achieve this, the ratio of 1.618 is used in the divisions of the plan and the arches. For instance, the width of the central core is 1.618 times that of the side corridor.

The second significant event occurs in the sections. Here, to maintain the golden ratio proportions, the arches should ideally be about 8 meters high, which is not feasible. To create the desired height, the Gestalt reflection rule is used on the ceiling and floor, showing half the desired height through reflection in the ceiling. The spatial movement also follows the traditional architectural archetype, featuring an entrance space and a curtain that maintains the privacy of the space upon entry, ending in a private or royal chamber.

Spaces are arranged according to their use and application: important business meetings and dining, parties and gatherings, romantic meetings, and so on. The space is entirely flexible and adaptable to changes.

The spatial texture and the decorative form of the dome are inspired by the concept of the "kaleidoscope," creating the overall form of this idea. For spatial variation, the dome's lighting can be changed multiple times throughout the week.
